About
Young & CroyleChrist, Craftsmanship, Community
Our Core Values:
Christ. Christ is our raison d’etre. He, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, in an indivisible Trinity of eternal love, made up the very first community. He is also the First Craftsman, who fashioned a beautiful cosmos from nothing, down to the most intricate details. He delights in work done well, and He made us to love each other and to live in fellowship, bearing each other’s burdens. Our goal is that Young & Croyle will reflect Christ and bring Him delight.
Craftsmanship is not just a job, but work done well—the culmination of experience, study, practice, diligence, care, and time. Craftsmanship calls to something deep inside us, the God-given sub-creative instinct to make and to enjoy beauty and to find satisfaction in a thing done right.
Community is more than just a collection of people in the same place. Community happens when people make time to spend with each other, to know each other, to share joys and sorrows, to lend a helping hand, to grieve and celebrate together. In our highly mobile and digital society, community no longer happens by accident. Building community must be done intentionally. We must choose to be together, to sacrifice and to share, to enjoy and sometimes put up with each other.
Our Vision:
Young & Croyle exists to draw people together. Our vision is to rebuild the vanishing community in our society—to give people reasons to gather around common interests and develop lasting friendships. We believe that community is a vital part of life, and we believe that craftsmanship, by evoking our delight and satisfaction, can be the spark that starts the fire of community. It is our sincere hope and prayer that every encounter with Young & Croyle, whether it be people or products, will help to build Christ-centered community through craftsmanship.
